What Happened?
New York law requires that all ticket fees be disclosed on the initial ticket selection screen on websites operated by ticket vendors like Ticketmaster. If fees are only disclosed on subsequent screens after you select a ticket, there may be a violation. The law provides for a potential recovery between $50 to $500.
If you recently purchased tickets through Ticketmaster for an event in New York City, you may be eligible for a claim.
Am I Eligible to Submit a Claim?
You may qualify for a claim if you:
- Purchased tickets on Ticketmaster.com after September 1, 2022
- Tickets were for an event taking place in New York state
- You were charged a fee, including “order processing fee” at checkout that was not included in the initial ticket listing
