What’s Going On?
Zimmerman Reed and Tycko & Zavareei are investigating potential class action claims against PlatinumLED involving red light LED therapy panels that were marketed as providing certain health, wellness, or therapeutic benefits, but may not work as advertised and may be unlawfully marketed under federal law.
Products marketed as “full-body red light therapy devices” boast benefits such as pain relief, inflammation reduction, increased collagen production, hair growth, hormone regulation, or even treatment of serious medical conditions. We are investigating whether these products, which come in the form of panels and beds, may be illegally on the market and technologically incapable of delivering the type of therapy required to produce the advertised benefits.
Many full body red light LED therapy devices on the market, such as wall-mounted panels, do not contain adequate technological components or design, calling into question whether these products meet FDA regulations or deliver the advertised benefits. Moreover, these devices are often marketed for medical purposes that far exceed FDA-cleared indications.
