What is this about?
Zimmerman Reed is investigating whether Microsoft may have unfairly retained consumers’ money after charging artificially high prices for Xbox game consoles.
According to published reports, Microsoft raised the price of its Xbox consoles on February 1, 2025 in the wake of new federal tariffs. Those tariffs were later challenged, entitling Microsoft to a refund from the U.S. government. Meanwhile, Microsoft has indicated it does not intend to pass any portion of that refund back to the consumers who paid the higher, tariff-inflated prices charged, which could result in a windfall for Microsoft at consumers’ expense. Zimmerman Reed’s investigation seeks to ensure that consumers are made whole.
If you purchased an Xbox game console between February 1, 2025 and February 24, 2026, you may have a claim.

Many companies’ online Terms of Service require that legal claims be resolved through individual arbitration proceedings rather than in court. Arbitration is a way to settle disputes outside of court, which means we will not be filing a traditional lawsuit but instead an arbitration claim. In arbitration, a neutral third party, called an arbitrator, determines how the legal claim should be resolved, much like a judge would do in court. It’s also possible that your claim may resolve before starting the arbitration process. We anticipate representing other people with similar claims at the same time.
Will this cost money?
