What’s Going On?
Companies have recently been advertising GLP-1 weight loss drugs, including semaglutide and tirzepatide. Mochi Health offer compounded GLP-1 drugs, which are not FDA-approved, meaning the FDA has not evaluated the drugs’ safety, effectiveness, or quality. In contrast, drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy are FDA-approved and have gone through the rigorous testing necessary for FDA-approval. If you purchased a Mochi Health weight loss drug advertised to have the same active ingredient as Ozempic or Wegovy, you may have a claim under consumer protection laws and FDA regulations.
According to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), these compounded products are not FDA-approved and are misbranded under the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act. Under consumer protection laws, you have rights when a product is misrepresented, marketed under false claims, or otherwise fails to deliver what was promised.
We are investigating whether Mochi Health may have violated consumer protection laws and FDA regulations.
