We are investigating claims that certain companies have engaged in a conspiracy to inflate prices on seeds and crop protection products and denied farmers access to accurate pricing information.

The focus of our investigation is manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers of seeds and crop protection chemicals such as fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides, including:

  • Bayer
  • Syngenta
  • Corteva
  • BASF
  • Cargill
  • Winfield

In addition to investigating price inflation and denial of access to accurate pricing of seeds and crop protection products, we are investigating whether these companies interfered with online platforms like Farmers Business Network to prevent farmers from obtaining these products at competitive prices. These claims are also the subject of ongoing investigations by the United States Federal Trade Commission and the Canadian Competition Bureau.
