Background
Renters of construction equipment have recently alleged that these companies engaged in conspiratorial conduct to fix prices in the construction equipment rental market. This alleged conspiracy, labeled the “Rouse Cartel,” is alleged to have been orchestrated by Rouse Services LLC using a proprietary pricing formula. The defendants are accused of sharing competitively sensitive information to set rental rates, leading to higher prices and reduced competition.
